Please take time to have a look at the proposals being put forward by HS2 Ltd. and TFL for the signalisation of Swakeleys roundabout and send any comments or concerns to Hillingdon Council via this consultation link by the 16th of October. (The short response time was set by HS2 Ltd.)
The accompanying documents are quite technical but your consultation response need not be. Hillingdon Council are interested in residents’ views to help shape any further input to this proposal.
The changes to the use of the roundabout are the only solution put forward to help the local area cope with HS2 construction traffic and increased vehicles on our roads over the next 7 – 10 years.
The number of HGV movements through Ickenham from Swakeleys roundabout are projected to be ( but capped at) 550 per day during the height of construction.
There is no plan B if this modelling does not work nor any alternative being put forward to comment on and no solutions offered for displaced traffic – particularly at the adjacent junctions on the A40.
If you would like more information about the plans for Swakeleys Roundabout, HS2 construction traffic and this consultation please do go to the first of 3 public events happening this month.
Tuesday 9th October – The Barn Hotel – Ruislip 2pm – 7.30pm
